About
My career in counseling started when I was 22 working at a group home for teen girls in Tucson, Arizona. After getting my social work degree at UT-Austin in 2000, I became a school social worker for 17 years in San Francisco and in Denver. I started Red Rocks Wellness in 2016 and I love being my own boss!
My primary goals when working with clients are to:
- Provide a safe and supportive space for people to talk about their feelings, experiences, joys and struggles
- Teach basic brain/behavior function and new healthy self-care skills
- Teach mindfulness skills to find inner calm and make healthy choices
- Utilize EMDR to reintegrate traumatic memories to reduce problematic symptoms
